How to Choose Perfect Bridal Hair Accessories

For even the most organised bride, choosing bridal hair accessories can be a little overwhelming.  However, making the right choices when it comes to this kind of accessory can help to complete that fairytale wedding you have dreamed about for years.

The first questions many brides ask, is when should I start looking for bridal hair accessories?  You will need to have chosen your wedding dress before you purchase any accessories as the style of dress you choose will have a huge bearing the style of accessories you purchase. You will also need to decide how you are wearing your hair on the big day. Once you know the hair style you are having your hairdresser should be able to advise you on the bridal hair accessories that will compliment both your hair and your dress.

I have listed below some of the bridal hair accessories that are available in the market today.

Combs – You can add a little baling to your hair by opting for a comb. A comb will look stunning in hair that has been styled in an up do and you can have a large or small comb encrusted with rhinestones. A half up half down hairstyle will also look good with a sparkly comb placed at the back.

Tiaras – The tiara is a timeless bridal hair accessory and for brides that want to look like a princess it is the perfect accessory. Tiaras are incredibly versatile and you can wear it with your hair up or down.

Flowers – Fresh or faux flowers are a very popular choice for brides the world over. A single flower or a cluster of delicate blooms can add a touch of romance to your hairstyle. You can use larger flowers for a simple style and smaller flowers for a more intricate look. If you are opting for fresh flowers then remember to chose something seasonal.

Garlands – Garlands are a type of bridal hair accessory that are perfect for an outside wedding and a dress that is a simple style. You should choose and mixture of large and small flowers to sit on your head while your hair cascades down.

Hair Pins – Delicate pins with either diamante or pearls are perfect if you want to achieve an understated look. This kind of bridal hair accessory looks wonderful in hair that has been styled into a chignon.

Headbands – Headbands are very versatile and can be worn with air of any length. Ribbon headbands are currently on trend and when they are adorned with pearls and crystals they make the bride look elegant and romantic.

Birdcage Veil – This type of hair accessory is for a bride who loves vintage and has short hair.

Don’t forget about your bridesmaids! You can co-ordinate their accessories with your own or choose something that compliments the dresses they will be wearing. Your bridesmaids may have different length hair and different colour hair so you will need to choose something that will suit them all and also keep them happy.
